Press release: Department for Work and Pensions launch The Work Programme – Your Thoughts
19 July 2010
Following the government’s announcement of its plans to radically reform the welfare to work system, rapid progress has been made on the design of The Work Programme.
There have been a number of events at which Ministers and DWP representatives have had the opportunity to directly engage with external suppliers, seeking input on design, implementation and delivery practicalities.
In order to provide further opportunity to comment on a number of specific Work Programme issues, we are pleased to announce the introduction, for a limited period, of an online discussion facility.
Comment online
We will post a number of questions for suppliers to discuss and provide views and/or alternative suggestions. These themes have been selected from subject areas already raised by suppliers.
So that we can manage the process within the demanding timescales we are working to, questions will be available for comment for a limited time.
From 19 to 30 July, we will be inviting your comments to a number of questions that include capital raising and payment model.
From 2 to 13 August, the discussion will move on to cover efficiencies, customers and implementation.
We will then publish a brief on-line summary after the ideas exchange process closes.
We look forward to hearing hear your views.
How to take part
