This on-line forum supports SHEN members, helping them connect to each other and share their knowledge and experience. The geographical challenges of Scotland and the time constraints of our daily work make it difficult for many SHEN members to keep in touch regularly. So by meeting on-line to discuss developments in policy and practice, we hope to promote a more active and well-informed network.
The on-line forum focuses on specific topics related to homelessness and employability in Scotland. Members can discuss these topics, and suggest new topics for discussion to the topic administrator. When a discussion is closed, the information and debate will be edited into a wiki document, which will be posted on the SHEN website. We may also use information in discussions in other SHEN publications.
The exchange of knowledge and experience which takes place in the on-line forum will also provide a foundation for evidence-based policy making. SHEN will use this to inform policy and practice discussions with the Scottish Government, and provide evidence for formal consultations on upcoming policy and legislation.
